U.S. Passport Execution Fee Increased on April 2

U.S. Passport in pocket of black bag

Effective April 2, 2018, the U.S. Department of State increased the passport execution fee from $25 to $35. The $10 execution fee increase only applies to U.S. passport applicants using the DS-11 form, such as first-time applicants over 16, children under 16, and applicants who re-apply after reporting their previous passport lost or stolen.

The $10 fee does not apply to adults eligible to renew their passports by mail using the DS-82 form. Renewal customers can mail their application and supporting documentation directly to the Department of State.

The Orange County Clerk of Courts has five locations that can process a new passport application. When applying, two separate forms of payment are required.  One for our office and one for the Department of State. The Clerk’s Office can also take your photo for a $10 fee.

Passport applications are accepted at the following Clerk locations:

  • Orange County Courthouse: 425 North Orange Ave., Room 350
  • Apopka branch: 1111 North Rock Springs Rd.
  • Goldenrod branch: 684 S. Goldenrod Rd. - Pinar Plaza
  • Ocoee branch: 475 Story Rd.
  • Winter Park branch: 450 North Lakemont Ave.
