Passports and American flag

Due to COVID-19 the Department of State has limited its U.S. passport operations. Expedited passports are not being offered. Additionally, if you apply for a passport you will experience delays before receiving your passport and return of your citizenship documents.  The Department of State will not offer normal processing times or expedited service until phase three of their reopening plan.  You should continue to monitor for updates

Avoid waiting in line when you get to the courthouse by scheduling an appointment at Just provide some basic information including your preferred date, time and method of contact - that's it!

  • You MUST bring 2 separate forms of payment. One of them MUST be a check or money order for the U.S. Department of State fees. All other fees are payable by debit/credit card or cash.
  • All Passport Applications and supporting forms MUST be filled out in black ink only.
  • You MUST bring one 2 x 2 recent color photo. Visit the U.S. State Department website for passport photo examples and requirements.
  • Visit the U.S. Department of State’s Site @ for updated processing times. Due to COVID-19 significant delays of several months are expected to receive your passport and the return of citizenship documents.
  • Application must be completed prior to appearing at your appointment time.
  • Your scheduled appointment will be held up to 15 minutes past your requested time. After that, we will assist you as a “walk-in” customer.

For Downtown Orlando appointments, allow yourself plenty of time to park and to clear security.

We currently do not accept same-day appointments, but Walk-Ins are always welcome!

When applying for a passport, two separate fees and forms of payment are required for the Clerk's Office and the Department of State. Be sure to review the accepted forms of payments in the Passport Fees section.
