Driver's License Reinstatement
All traffic citations must be paid in the county where they were issued.
The Clerk of Courts can only reinstate a driver's license that was suspended due to a traffic citation(s). If your driver's license is suspended for any reason other than a traffic citation(s), you must contact the
DMV for reinstatement.
Examples of suspensions for reasons other than traffic citations include, but are not limited to:
D6 Clearance Letters
A D6 is a letter of satisfaction stating that all fines and obligations have been met relating to a driver's license suspension due to traffic violations. A D6 may be obtained
online, via
mail or
in person once all outstanding traffic citation requirements are satisfied. A D6 Clearance Letter is required in order to reinstate a driver's license that has a pending or active suspension issued by the Clerk of Courts.

The Clerk in Orange County will reinstate a Florida driver's license suspended for a traffic citation for a $60.00 fee.
The fee may be paid by mail or in person at one of our five locations.
