Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
Saturday’s rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the ‘Clerks for a Cure’ team as they joined the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
The Orange County Clerk of Courts raised more than $10,000 for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk for the American Cancer Society, placing us for the second consecutive year among the top five donors.
The walk allowed the Clerk’s Office to raise money for a worthy cause while also creating an opportunity for camaraderie and a little exercise.
Contributing to our community, whether it be through Clerks for a Cure, the United Way or offering a hand to colleagues going through a tough time is an important part of this organization’s culture.
“I’m always so proud of our deputy clerks and their generous spirit,’’ Clerk of Courts Lydia Gardner said. “They’ve really outdone themselves this year. Even in this economy, they come through for each other as well as for the greater community.”
Thanks to everyone on the ‘Clerks for a Cure’ team and everyone in the community for helping to make the event a big success.
