SPLITTING PDF DOCUMENTS INTO
MULTIPLE 4MB DOCUMENTS WITH ADOBE

The Extract Pages tool provides an easy way to split a PDF document into two or more PDF files with Adobe Acrobat Professional. You may extract pages from an existing PDF document and use them as the basis for a new PDF document or several documents. When you extract pages, you can preserve the extracted pages in the original document or delete them from the original document and create a continuation of the original document. To extract pages from a PDF document, follow these steps:

1. Open the PDF document that contains the pages you wish to extract.

2. From Document on the toolbar, highlight Pages and from the pages flyout click on Extract.

3. Specify the range of pages by entering page number in the From and To fields.

4. Check the “Delete Pages After Extracting” to separate the document into a smaller size.

5. Click OK and Acrobat opens the extracted pages as a new document.

6. Now click on File, Save As and name the second part of your document.

Now pages 11 through 22 have been created as a separate PDF document. You now have two PDF documents below the 4MB size limit that you will be able to file.
