CHECKING DOCUMENT PROPERTIES
IN ADOBE ACROBAT 6

The following instructions are for use with the Adobe Acrobat 6. Please be advised that The Clerk of the Courts is in no way endorsing or advertising the use of Adobe Acrobat as PDF software. These instructions are offered as a guide in obtaining the file size of the PDF document.

Adobe Acrobat 7 is the newest version of Acrobat available. The following information details the steps necessary to ensure that files created in Acrobat 6 can be viewed in earlier versions. If you are using another PDF generating software or a different version of Adobe Acrobat, please refer to the appropriate documentation or the web site for detailed information on this topic.

1. After opening the document in Adobe, click on File on the toolbar and choose Document Properties.

2. The Document Properties dialog box displays:

3. Choose Description from the list on the left.

4. In the PDF Information box, look at the file size to ensure that it is less than 4MB [4 megabytes].

5. If it is, click OK to close the dialog box.
